We appreciate that you probably have an idea of just how great The Three Valleys is, but just incase you don’t…we thought we’d give you 10 of the many reasons to love it.

1. Its the worlds largest connected ski area

So, reason number one speaks for itself. The three valleys boast 600km of connected pistes, 328 downhill skiing pistes and 166 ski lifts. Need we say more?

2.There’s something for every ability

With the extensive choice of ski areas, there really is something for everyone.

Each valley has a vast range of slopes, with each one offering a well-balanced range of greens to blacks as well as off piste adventures for the thrill seekers amongst us.

This being said, each area does boast its own special features. Meribel and Mottaret offering the same ski area set right in the heart of the three valleys. From the infamous Altiport, perfect for beginners to the notorious Grand Couloir taking you down to Corchevel.

Courchevel again has a lot to choose from, whether you’re a sceptical beginner or a seasoned veteran. Stunning blacks can be found on the way down to La Praz which is a small village nestled at 1350m and Courchevel 1650m and 1850m have a whole host of wide and perfectly pisted slopes for beginners, intermediate, advanced and everything in between.

La Tania is thought to offer some of the best tree skiing within the valleys. With slopes such as blue piste Folyeres, taking skiers on a breath-taking route down the mountain. Alike to many of the meticulously cared for slopes within The Three Valleys, Folyeres is groomed daily, making it a true delight for skiers of all capabilities.

Whilst the whole ski area is known to be snow sure, Val Thorens being the highest resort within the valleys can always be counted on for superb conditions.

Intermediates will have a real opportunity to come into their own, when skiing in the nearby Les Menuires with its many blues and reds.

Last but by no means least…Saint Martin de Belleville is not only home to some of The Three Valleys most popular blues but is also well known for its spectacular off piste.

3.High speed lifts

As mentioned within point number one, The Three Valleys is home to 166 ski lifts. The lifts are being updated on a continual basis, with all of the mammoth ski area being fully equipped with state-of-the-art high speed lifts. From thermo-regulated seats to pull down-weather shields, the lifts will have you prepared for all weather conditions so there’s no excuse for being a fair-weather skier!

4.Continual development

Despite being recognised as the best ski area in Europe, The Three Valleys are committed to continually improving the infrastructure of the resort to uphold this standard. Each year the summer months are spent meticulously refining and grooming the pistes ahead of the winter season and improvements are made across all areas of the resort. From snow making capabilities to lifts and family attractions such as the Yeti Park in Meribel– the resort is being continually revised and improved to make it truly the best ski area in the world.

Let us tell you, that’s only the beginning! Much like the skiing throughout the whole of The Three Valleys there is an abundance of great dining options with each area offering its own vibe.

Similar to that of the restaurants, the apres in The Three Valleys will not disappoint and is highly regarded as the best in France and stands strong as a top contender across the world.

You will now find not one, but two Folie Douces nestled amongst the slopes in both Val Thorens and Meribel. This being said, not all of the extensive ski area is filled with wild apres bars providing the perfect balance with areas such as Saint Martin De Belleville offering a quieter and more relaxed vibe.

Aside from its location, The Three Valleys outstanding infrastructure is responsible for its snow sure title.  The resort is home 2,100 snow cannons meaning that whatever the weather, the resort is guaranteed to have snow. The main reservoir in Mottaret has now also been extended. This development has doubled the snow making capacity and means that The Three Valleys is now so snow-sure that its promising a new guarantee to be the largest open and connected ski area in Europe throughout the whole season, or your money back!

9.Highly accessible meaning short transfers
